Moving!

On Friday, Carter resumed physical therapy at CHOC. We know we had a setback from this most recent broken leg, but hopefully it didn’t put us too far behind. He seems better than when we originally started therapy. His gate when he’s walking isn’t quite so wide. We still need to work on pointing those toes straight ahead and not so far out though. And he needs to build up strength and balance in his left leg.

Carter’s eyes are looking better everyday. He’s not trying to rub them as often as he was before. We are done with the dreaded eye drops…even though he asked for them yesterday, so I think they did provide a little relief once the stinging wore off.

We are immersed in packing for our move. We are just anxious to get it done with and settled in our new home. In the summertime, we were told by UCLA that Carter and Bennett should probably not share a bedroom for the first six months after transplant. So, we are pretty close to the exact date. And when we move on Tuesday they will be roommates. They are both so excited!

  1. That is sooo exciting that they get to be roommates!! I can't believe you guys have to move with all of this on your calendar/daily schedule already but hopefully it will go smootly and you can settle quickly so you don't have to worry about it anymore. What a pain!
Glad to hear that Carter is done with the eye drops and hope you had a great weekend otherwise!

  2. A new year, a new place and new beginnings for a very healthy, happy Kipp family. So many great possibilities...bet the boys will not sleep much on their first night together!
