Our case manager from CHOC called and left a message for us today. She said our oncologist had a chance to review the MRI with the radiologist and he said it looks good. He feels a little relieved. We will go ahead with the bone biopsy on Monday, and talk to the doctor again.
We didn’t call the doctor back to get more clarification because that is probably all he has to say until the biopsy. The doctor had said earlier the MRI and bone biopsy will not give us 100% confirmation the cancer is gone. He said they can’t guarantee they will get the correct location for the biopsy, although they will try their best. The most telling test will be whether or not there is any growth when we re-scan in another 6-8 weeks. So, at this point we are just hoping for no bad news. And the fact that we didn’t get bad news, I suppose is good news!
We will take it...love no bad news. Have a wonderful weekend with your 3 darling little boys and embrace the fact that everyone is supporting the concept that Carter is cancer free. It is such a bummer that these spots came up but we all know they are from the steroids and chemo. It saved his life and at the same it wrecked havoc on his body...what a weird way to save a life. Love you guys and take a deep breath and relax as much as you can. All is good in Carter's cancer free body...some healthy food, lots a pure water and a little physical therapy and he will be your healthy 2 year old in no time. God is good...big hugs xoxo Cindy and John
ReplyDeleteThis definitely sounds like something to celebrate! I pray the good news continues to roll in.
ReplyDeletePraise God things are looking good! Praying for better and better results with each test...confirming what God already spoke...that by Jesus' stripes Carter is healed and whole! Been out of town and just now catching up on the blogs....keeping you all before the throne of grace in my absence nonetheless! HUGS
