False Alarm!

As we were heading out the door UCLA called. Apparently, they spoke with CHOC and unbeknownst to us one of the tests they were checking Carter for today is swine flu. They have to be as cautious as possible, and we will not have these results until tomorrow. And UCLA will not do a transplant with this test pending. Ugh! Everything is meant to be and this must not be the best match for Carter. The good news is, someone is getting a transplant tonight! And our family is ready for the next call!!

  1. You are the best Kara...great attitude and it gives Carter time to feel tip top. Have a good nights sleep and tomorrow is another day. We will still pray for the child that gets that liver...what a gift. Night night xoxo Cindy and John

  4. You have such a great attitude about all of this. Just think, it probably isn't the ideal situation like you said with Carter having even a runny nose and cough and the liver won't be wasted, someone else's life was saved last night and you will be next!
We continue to keep you all in our prayers,
    Gina

I get it, I just commented on the previous post and realized what you were saying.....I'm so sorry to hear this and pray that Carter's tests come back negative, also a transplant happens again soon! Everything happens when it's supposed to and I guess this just wasn't the right time, but there will be another.
