The boys enjoying a great eveningWe woke up to a bright blue sky and actually got to enjoy it a bit. Matt made pancakes, which both of the boys loved. I went on a walk around Balboa Island with my sister. Matt went on a run, and then went swimming with Bennett. Later, Matt went and hit golf balls. We all had a great Restaurants On the Run dinner together, and then we went on a bike ride and walk around the neighborhood this evening. Matt and I definitely have to remind ourselves of days like this when the rough days come along. And we do not take one good moment for granted anymore! It’s sooo nice to see Carter feeling good right now.
On days like today we feel like we are ready for Carter’s liver transplant and want him feeling like this as he goes into surgery. We want him feeling strong. Matt administered his first G-CSF IV this evening (without the supervision of a nurse) and did great! Hopefully, this drug will make this round not as difficult as the previous three rounds!

What a sweet video of a sweet young warrior...brought tears to my eyes. So glad to see him smiling and to read that you got a chance to have a semi normal day....may they become more and more frequent as Carter's healing becomes more and more apparent.
ReplyDeleteMy computer was acting funky the past few days and I couldn't get in to check on you all, but you were never far from my thoughts and prayers. I will of course be giving the updates at church today...we all at CWL are still keeping your family and the transplant donor family in prayer. Many hugs to each and everyone of you.
Was so glad to hear that each of your days this weekend were filled with JOY! As always love looking at those big smiles and some singing too. I held you all close to my heart allllllllll weekend.
