Say hello to my little friend...
The bubble chaseMatt went golfing with his friends early this morning, and the boys and I made muffins for breakfast. Carter started off the day eating well, which was great. He actually added a few things to his diet today in addition to pretzels. He ate two muffins, a quesadilla and tons of guacamole, peanut butter and crackers, pears, enchilada and beans, and a milkshake (thanks for the milkshake drop-off Harvies!). We love to see him eat like this the day before starting a new round of chemo.
We don’t know what to expect over the next few days with Round 4 of chemo, since they are making it a slightly smaller dose in order to not wear Carter down too much. We also don’t know what it is like to show up at the hospital on time for a chemo treatment. Usually, we don’t just walk in the front door and say we are here for our appointment. We have always come in a few days early via the ER, so this should be a little tamer.
The boys had so much fun playing together today. We all went on a bike ride, and then Dad and Bennett went swimming. Later, the boys had a blast with bubbles in the backyard while we ate dinner. We’re just enjoying every moment before heading back into battle tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, it is my sister’s birthday. Happy birthday Krista! Thank you for helping us out so much through this whole ordeal, and thank you for checking in on me every single day! We love you Auntie!
And tomorrow is also our friend Allyson’s birthday. We want to wish her a happy birthday and extra good luck as she begins her first of many chemo treatments (yes, on her birthday) to fight breast cancer! You’ll do great and you just remember if Carter can do it, you can too!! XOXO
My heart is singing to hear of such a fun, relaxing day for the Kipp clan. Loving being a normal family. Good luck tomorrow...we are all behind you and maybe Carter will get a break this time and it will be a little easier. Bigs hugs and a good nights sleep for everyone. xoxo Cindy and John

SO VERY VERY GLAD YOU HAD AN AWESOME FAMILY WEEKEND!!!!! Boy have you needed this. All the pictures are filled with nothing butlove and I feast on those big smiles.
