Driving the chair train
Loving the boat ridesThis morning we made breakfast, and then Bennett and Matt went on a bike ride around the neighborhood. For lunch, we went out on the Duffy and cruised around the harbor. The boys had a great time spotting a few seals and waving hello to all the paddle boarders. It was such a nice outing and break from having to be home most of the time.
Carter is feeling good, and is his silly self. We have an appointment to draw blood at the CHOC Cancer Clinic tomorrow. We’re hoping Carter’s ANC level has started to go up substantially. We received a letter from CHOC alerting all families they are restricting all visitors from CHOC, the Cancer Clinic and the Outpatient Infusion Center because of a few cases of swine flu. The only people allowed in the hospital or the clinics will be patients and their parents. Matt and I were actually happy to read this letter. Yes, it would be hard to be in the hospital without the occasional visit from grandparents, etc. But it will be nice to limit Carter’s exposure to people during these visits to the clinics while we are waiting for a liver transplant (and even post-transplant for chemo).
Ah the chair train! I used to do that way back when I was a kid...bet Bennett & Carter had a blast. Praying for those ANC levels to return to healthy normal!! Still praying for the donor family as well as yours. I know it will happen, in God's timing. Many hugs and many prayers!
