Carter and Dad hanging outCarter's counts continue to be the same, which is good. He is officially off the IV nutrients, so hopefully his eating and drinking will pick up even more. The doctors are saying being discharged Friday is looking more realistic, we just have to hope we continue on this path the next couple days.
In the evening yesterday, Matt took Carter to the playroom. He got a private session there, so it wasn't so intimidating with all the kids for the first time. And today, they ventured over again. They had a music duo in there singing and Carter was loving it. He also walked around the pediatric floor a bit. He just needs to practice walking again. He's pretty weak and has been mostly in bed for almost 2 weeks. Once we get home, we're sure he'll try to keep up with Benny.
I had another doctor's appointment today. Good news, the baby is head down! Yeah! Thanks for all the advice I received from everyone! It must have worked! And my doctor said there isn't a lot of room, so he probably can't turn again. I am one centimeter dilated and 50% effaced, but my doctor seems to think I'll make it to September 8th. If that's the case, that day I will go into the hospital to be induced and Carter will go in for his 5th round of chemo. Boy, life is crazy!
Oh, all reports are "Good News". So happy our new arrival is in the right grove. Ok, guys what will we be calling him?

ReplyDeleteYippeee...can it really be possible that Carter could be discharged tomorrow? I am praying it happens for you. A couple of weeks home before a new baby would be bliss. Also if you can get some hummus and other fresh food Carter will be much stronger really quickly. Have a wonderful day and let's hope Friday is the big release day! Please....big hugs to everyone. xoxo Cindy and John
