Carter out of bed and snacking on cookies with Bennett
Carter, Grammy and Bennett...great shotCarter had a good night sleep with Dad. He woke up this morning feeling good, and his liver levels were even lower!! We are almost in the normal range. He is not as anemic and his heart rate has gone down since his blood transfusion. What a relief! He has been pooping a ton all day, so maybe that's what the grunting was all about last night. We are steering clear of chicken for a little bit and trying to stay with softer and easier foods to digest. His appetite is okay, and will hopefully get better as they reduce the IV nutrients.
Carter has had a ton of energy today. And he had the most eventful day here all week. Grammy, Denny and Bennett came to visit! He and Benny played cars, read books and were just silly together. We got Carter out of bed and walking around our room (with assistance). He took a bath while they were here, and was just sitting up a lot...which was great to see! The doctors continue to be very happy with his progress.
As I'm writing this, Matt and Carter are dancing to rap music together. This must be a good sign?!
What a wonderful post...Grammy looks nice and rested and Carter must have been thrilled to see Bennett. So fun for the brothers to be together. THRILLED to hear that the liver is almost normal and no more rapid heart beats...things seems so great today! Enjoy the dancers...rap music huh? Big hugs and let's all pray for continued improvement. ReplyDeletePRAISE GOD, PRAISE GOD, PRAIDE GOD the enzyme levels, heart rate and anemia are getting back to normal levels!!! Sounds like Carter & Matt were doing a dance of joy...even if it is to rap music. ReplyDeleteI am so glad Bennett got a chance to visit!!! Hopefully this helps answer some of the lonely questions he had. Sometimes a visual makes it easier to understand the explanation. So thrilled the boys had a good visit with Grammy & cookies to boot! HOT DOG!!! Keep on keeping on beloved Kipps!! I can't wait until Tuesday night to share the news....will have to make some calls when I get home...yep you caught me on a quick break at work, checking in on the angel! Hugs!!!
