No CT scan results

Bennett working on his Captain America pose

Carter and Matt left bright and early for Carter’s CT scan. Carter was not able to eat four hours prior, so we were glad it was first thing in the morning. Carter did great through it. He is a tough little guy when Dad is his partner. They make a great team. Unfortunately, we were not able to get results from the scan yet. We are anxiously awaiting them, so hopefully we will get them Monday morning.

In the meantime, we are trying to get Carter to eat more. He is still just snacking on a couple of bites here and there throughout the day. A very common side effect from his steroid is increased appetite. We wish he would get this side effect from the drugs!

Carter is getting around great with his cast. It doesn’t slow him down a bit. In fact, we have to remind him to go a little slower. He was doing push-ups and then break-dancing earlier today. He is a funny kid…just like his big brother.

And Carter is doing better taking his meds again. He is complaining about taking his steroid drug, which he never used to complain about…“Prednisone is yucky.” Matt dabbed a tiny bit on his finger to taste it and wanted to throw up. So, he completely understands Carter’s protest. Unfortunately, Carter still has to take it. We are so proud of him! We know it’s not easy to be him.

  1. No it is not easy to be him, but he is a rockstar taking all his medicine for this long AND having a broken leg. I can only imagine him break dancing...I bet it's hysterical! I'm glad it's not slowing him down! Hopefully the scan results will come back first thing Monday and I'm sure they will look good too. We're hoping you guys have a great weekend and are staying healthy too!

  2. Keep up the awesome work mom and dad. You guys are doing such a great job. I am in awe every day when I read your blog and see the amazing things that are happening in your lives. Carter has been such a fighter. Always remember that his fight has inspired so many and you guys have encouraged so many of us to be the best moms and dads that we can possibly be.
