Bennett was back at school today. His preschool has been great about alerting us if anyone in his class is sick at all. We didn't end up sending him yesterday because someone had a runny nose. We know, it's preschool, when does someone not have a runny nose?! However, we are just a couple of days away from Carter starting his last chemo cycle. We need him to be strong to fight this one more time. We're hopeful the stronger he goes in to this round, the faster he will bounce back.
Grammy was over today and asked Bennett if there are any girls he likes in his class. He was telling us how some girls were chasing him around. We told him maybe they thought he was cute. He said, "Grammy, I'm not cute...bunny rabbits are cute!" He wanted to be called handsome. Bennett is one funny four year old.
Carter's ANC level is over 2000, so he is ready to be admitted to CHOC on Thursday. Tomorrow we'll be enjoying our last quiet day at home this week.
Go Carter go...one more round of that crazy chemo and then you are done! Yippeee...what a fighter and a brave family. Great news about the ANC levels! You guys are almost done...what a battle you have fought. High five Kipps...Davis is so darling by the way! Sweet dreams and enjoy your day tomorrow before Round 6! Big hugs xoxo Cindy and John
ReplyDeleteIn a few years you are going to have a couple of heart breakers on your hands. Yeah. . . the final round of chemo is tomorrow, almost done! Can you see the light now?
ReplyDeleteLove Benny's comment about being cute - he is cute and handsome, as are all of the boys!
ReplyDeleteFinal round of chemo...WOW! Keep going Carter, last one! You are such a fighter and an amazingly brave little boy.
We love you lots!

ReplyDeleteThat is so funny about Bennett! He is truly a character!!! That is great that school is alerting you of any illnesses so you can be aware. We are so glad that Carter is strong with a high ANC level for his last chemo round! You are almost done!!! Keep up the great work Carter and Kipp family!

Oh Kara and Matt - I can't believe only one more session to go. You have done so well with all this and you are nearing the END. And Carter you have been such a trooper and a brave little boy. And Bennett, I think you are extremely handsome!
ReplyDeletePraying for this next week to go by quickly, and smoothly for you all.
Lots of big hugs coming your way. Auntie Tink
Dear kara and Matt, I still read your blog with a sense of awe. You are both so amazing and because of that your boys are amazing, too. I hope I get to meet Davis sometime in the near future. If he is anything like my #3 son (who, by the way, Kay had a very soft spot for)he will be the sweetest one yet. I love seeing the pictures of Carter. He looks healthier every day. All the Perlmutters send their love. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Sandy
